Dead Run

Dead Run is a top-down rogue-like endless runner set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies.

Survive as long as possible by dodging enemies, destroying obstacles, collecting power-ups and defeating powerful bosses.

Compete for the highest score and climb the global leaderboard.

The game was developed for browsers using the Phaser framework (HTML5).

Downloads available on this page:

• Windows PC (.exe) — a standalone desktop installer
• Android (.apk) — installable package for Android devices

You can also play the browser (HTML5) version directly on Itch.io.

CONTROLS

• ←  : Move Left
• →  : Move Right
• SPACE → Shoot (when weapon is active)
• ESC → Pause

POWER-UPS (Mini Guide)

• Weapon
  Grants a pistol for 10 seconds. Use it to shoot enemies.
• Shield
  Protects you from one hit (lasts until used).
• Slow Time
  Slows down enemies and obstacles temporarily.
• Rage Mode
  The most powerful power-up.
  • Destroys everything in one hit

ENEMIES

• Zombie (Normal)
  Basic enemy → dies in 1 hit
• Fast Zombie
  Faster version → dies in 1 hit
• Mutant Zombie
  Stronger enemy →
  • Needs 2 shots with weapon
  • Dies instantly with Rage
• Zombie Boss
  Appears later in Stage 3 (Chaos)
  • Needs 3 shots with weapon
  • Dies with Rage
  • Usually only weapon spawns during boss fights

OBSTACLES

• Police Cars
• Civilian Cars

Can only be destroyed with Rage Mode

STAGES

The game evolves over time:

• Stage 1 – Survival
• Stage 2 – Infection
• Stage 3 – Chaos

Difficulty increases as you survive longer.

SCORING SYSTEM

• Gain points by:
  • Surviving longer
  • Killing enemies
  • Destroying obstacles
• Combo system:
  • Killing multiple zombies in a row gives bonus points
    
    

ONLINE LEADERBOARD

Compete globally with other players.

Your score is saved online and shared across all players.
Scores are now stored persistently and will not reset.
